Plain Language Recommendations

A mechanism must be provided to stop, pause, mute, or adjust volume for audio that automatically plays.

Notes

  1. WCAG 2.0 standard only requires this for audio that is longer than 3 seconds, but UXG decided to require it for all audio.

Guideline 1.4: Distinguishable

Make it easier for users to see and hear content including separating foreground from background.
