Plain Language Recommendations

All page functionality must be available using the keyboard, unless the functionality cannot be accomplished in any known way using a keyboard (e.g., free hand drawing).

Notes

  1. This standard is required for public-facing materials.
  2. If this standard can’t be met (e.g., drag and drop), a text alternative should be provided.

Examples

  1. An application that uses drag and drop also supports “cut” and “paste” or form controls to move objects.
